Step by step
- 1In a lesson, open the menu at the top right.
- 2Tap Transcript to show the text.
- 3Read along while the audio plays.
- 4Turn Sounds on or off to suit you.
Many lesson screens are narrated. If you prefer to see the words as you hear them, open the lesson menu and turn on the transcript. The text appears alongside the audio, which helps you connect spoken and written forms.
The same menu lets you turn sound effects on or off, for example when you are studying in a quiet place.
Reading while listening is especially useful at lower levels, while advanced learners can hide the transcript to train pure listening.
